1) General

These Terms apply to your use of this website and to reservations with Janessa Hotel (“we”, “us”). By using the site or making a booking, you agree to these Terms.

2) Rates & currency

Unless stated otherwise, all rates are in Ugandan Shillings (UGX) and may change without notice. Quoted prices may exclude taxes/fees unless specified.

3) Reservations & payment

• Booking requests via our site or partners are subject to availability and written confirmation from us.
• Deposit/guarantee: We may require a deposit or valid card guarantee at the time of booking. Any card payments are processed by our payment provider.
• Balance: Payable at check-in or check-out as advised. Additional charges (e.g., bar, meals) are payable before departure.

4) Check-in / Check-out

Standard check-in is [e.g., 2:00 PM] and check-out is [e.g., 11:00 AM]. Early check-in/late check-out is subject to availability and may incur a fee. Valid government ID is required at check-in.

5) Cancellation / no-show

Unless your confirmation states otherwise, cancellations made [e.g., 48 hours] before arrival are free. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged up to one night’s room rate (or as per rate plan).

6) Children, extra beds & occupancy

Children are welcome. Room occupancy limits apply. Extra beds/cribs are subject to availability and may incur a fee. Please include children in your guest count when booking.

7) House rules

• Non-smoking rooms: Smoking/vaping is prohibited in all rooms. Designated outdoor areas may be provided. A cleaning fee may apply for violations.
• Noise & conduct: Guests must not disturb others or damage property. We may refuse service or evict, without refund, for unsafe or unlawful behavior.

8) Facilities & services

Facilities (e.g., Wi-Fi, parking, restaurant, bar, gardens) are offered as available. Temporary closures or maintenance may occur. Images on the site are illustrative.

9) Liability

We are not liable for loss of money, valuables, or damage to property unless required by law. Please use available safes and exercise care. To the fullest extent permitted, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses.

10) Force majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., extreme weather, power failure, strikes, government actions).

11) Privacy

Your personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

12) Website use

Content is provided “as is”. Do not misuse the site, attempt unauthorized access, or infringe intellectual property. We may update or remove content at any time.

13) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Disputes will be subject to the competent courts of Uganda, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections.
